BEATING BATTEN 5K
In honor of Naomi Caughey
With rolling mountains, lush vegetation and average highs in the low 60s, Staunton, Virginia is the ideal, idyllic spot to run/walk a fall 5K!  It is also for a very good cause.  This race is the first in a series of fundraisers in honor of Naomi Caughey, a profoundly disabled child suffering from Batten Disease.  Join Naomi and her father as they race around Gypsy Hill Park.  The goal of the race is to raise money to fund research to find a cure for this devastating disease.  To help raise funds you can run or walk in the race, donate money directly if you're unable to attend, or bid on any silent auction items available (found under "Donations").  All proceeds of this race will be donated to the Batten Disease Support and Research Association (BDSRA), a support, research, and networking association for those with Batten Disease.
